Independent Contractor is Inaugural Recipient of Barbara S. McGlinchey Award
City Wide Maintenance of Indianapolis has awarded Mr. Shawn Lee, Owner/Operator of Zion Creation, the 2009 Barbara S. McGlinchey Award.
The Barbara S. McGlinchey Award is given annually to the most deserving City Wide employee or contract associate who most demonstrates a positive attitude in the face of adversity.
“As the first recipient of this annual award, Shawn Lee exemplifies Barb’s ‘no-quit’ attitude,” says Jeff Smith, Owner of City Wide Maintenance of Indianapolis. “Shawn Lee is one of my largest business partners and I’m so appreciative of his extraordinary effort to work through problems and learn new ways to improve our businesses together.”
Barbara McGlinchey, former employee of City Wide Maintenance of Indianapolis, lost a long but strong fight against a virulent form of breast cancer earlier this year.
Continues Smith, “Barb was known as a positive and determined woman to her co-workers and clients. She battled challenges every day most of us will never know and yet remained professional, always willing to serve our business.”
Additionally a $250 gift to the Susan G. Komen Foundation will be made by City Wide of Indianapolis in the name of Mr. Shawn Lee to honor Barb McGlinchey’s memory.
